Welcome to The Entrepreneur’s Edge, weekly insights on AI and peak performance to shape the future of entrepreneurship.

Google released Gemini this week.

This is their ChatGPT competitor.

Once called Bard, now referred to as Gemini.

Most are still solely focused on the features.

While yes, experiment with the features and understand why to use it over other LLMs, but still… there’s a bigger story here.

This strategic realignment not only helped to rectify Google’s setbacks with AI, but it also pioneered new standards in business storytelling.

Here’s how:

1. Embrace technological evolution

Google's recent advancements are a powerful testament to the importance of embracing technological evolution. By staying at the forefront of innovation, Google illustrates the critical necessity for businesses to adapt to new technologies or risk falling behind.

You can apply this by fostering a culture that embraces change, invests in research and development, and keeps an eye on emerging technological trends to maintain a competitive edge.

2. Unlock multimodal potential

With its multimodal capabilities, Gemini's development is a prime example of leveraging technology to meet diverse user needs. Gemini's ability to handle multiple content formats and complex tasks exemplifies the importance of multimodal AI in enhancing user engagement and satisfaction.

Experiment with using multimodality in the AI products you use. Add images, voice, and videos into LLMs. Have LLMs generate voice-to-image, image-to-text, text to the image. The list can go on. Experiment and see what you can learn.

3. Prioritize global reach

Google's initiative with Gemini to reach over 40 languages and 230 countries underscores the significance of prioritizing global reach. This commitment to inclusivity broadens Google's market and enriches the global user experience.

Depending on the scale of your business, try to adopt a global mindset. If global is too big, test out regional or with a new industry. The aim is to ensure your offering fits a diverse audience, leading to increased brand loyalty and market share.

4. Focus on the user

The user-first philosophy at the heart of Gemini's design—being intuitive, conversational, and helpful—highlights the importance of centering products around the user's needs.

Focus on understanding and meeting the real-world needs of your customers, using feedback to drive product development, and ensuring that the end-user experience is at the forefront of your business strategy.

5. Strategize your story

Strategic storytelling evident in Google's evolution from Bard to Gemini showcases a masterful approach to brand evolution. It demonstrates the power of effective communication in engaging audiences and managing change.

Carefully craft your company's narrative, ensure it resonates with your audience, and clearly communicate the company's vision and the benefits of any changes or new developments.

AI is moving fast.

These are essential components for success in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Take actions aligned with these principles.

This way, you can position your organization to thrive in an era of constant change.

See you next week,
Rachel
